Summary

This was the site of a settlement during the medieval period, and the site of the post medieval manor house of Ellinghams. This is also the site of Hill Farm, and photographs taken before its demolition in the 1960s show an 18th or 19th century brick house. Fragments of medieval pottery and large quantities of 18th century pottery have been found during field walking.
