Full Description
8 February 1984. Stray Find:
Picked up from beach below high water mark:
1 Late Upper Palaeolithic flint long blade. Length 20.5cm; width varying, maximum 5.5cm. Roughly triangular in section. Grey flint masked by iron staining and final, almost overall black 'peat' patina. Edge damage but no secondary working. See drawing (S1).

This discovery was first reported in (S3) and is also listed in (S4). The illustration of this blade is reproduced in (S5), which details the large assemblage of Late Upper Palaeolithic flints that had been recoverd from the beach at Titchwell.
