Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 1984 recovered a cast bronze object. It had a pennanular outer ring with overlapping tracery inside. It was tentatively dated to the medieval period, although its function was not determined.

Cast bronze penannular object, with ?foliate terminals and criss-crossing tracery between, twining over and under outer ring. Perhaps medieval but use unknown. 4.4cm diameter.
