Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered prehistoric worked and burnt flints and occasional fragments of animal bone from a chalk drift ridge just emerging from the peat.

25 January 1985. Fenland fieldwalking.
Ploughed and reasonably well weathered field.
Occasional flint and rare fragments of bone and potboiler on chalk drift ridge just emerging from peat about 0.3m high. FWL BO.
