Map

30 January 1985. Fenland Project fieldwalking.
Site MTW AU (part of MTW U3 in final publication).
On sandhill of almost pure sand with only odd natural flint rising 0.4m to 0.5m above peat.
Fieldwalking on ploughed and weathered soil. Even scatter of flints and potboilers, with one small pot boiler concentration 5m diameter with a bone fragment adjacent to peaty depression, looking as though turned over en bloc by the plough. The small assemblage of worked flints included pieces of Mesolithic and Early Neolithic date.
For further details see project archive (S1) and final publication (S2). Finds now held by Norwich Castle Museum.
