Summary

Fieldwalking in 1984 recovered prehistoric flint flakes and blades and Roman pottery sherds. Metal-detecting in 2020 and 2024 recovered a Roman brooch, an Early/Middle Saxon gold pendant and an medieval copper alloy unidentified object.

Found scattered over surface of south end of ploughed field:
Seven prehistoric flint flakes and blades, one grey ware base, probably Roman.

31 August 2020. Metal-detecting Rally. [2].
Early/Middle Saxon gold pendant set with cabochon-cut gem, probably a garnet.
Information from PAS import.
This pendant was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2020 T662) and returned to the finder.
Site extended to the whole field. Previous extent recorded as Context 1.
