Full Description
April 1985. From spoil from sewer diggings said to go to depth of 18 feet.
Roman sherds small fine grey ware carinated bowl.
Diameter at rim 13cm, base 4.3cm. Height 7.5cm, depth from rim to angle of carination 3.5cm.
Also 2 sherds coarses, lighter greyware possibly jar.
Identified by E. M. James (KLM) 27 April 1985.
Several more sherds found later united with these and glued to make almost complete bowl.
