Full Description
16 April 1985. Fieldwalking on weathered ploughsoil but with too much weed cover for good collection.
Context 1: general scatter medieval sherds to west. TYL CL (S1).
Context 2 at 5519 1550: Concentration medieval pottery sparse to moderate, sparse shell, sparse bone; slight slope down to hedge beside road which could mark edge of medieval drove. Little post medieval material. 73m north to south x 33m east to west at 1.8m OD. TYL 36 (S2).
Context 3 at 5521 1564: Concentration sparse medieval pot, sparse shell and bone, some post medieval rubbish. On putative edge of drove, 35m north to south x 26m east to west. 1.8m OD. TYL 37 (S3).
