Full Description
26 April 1984. NAU aerial photographs.
Earthworks.
D.A. Edwards (NAU), 19 July 1985.
Linear ditches forming rectangles - house plots or drains? and at east end north to south ridge with depression each side - trackway or roddon?
E. Rose (NAU), 30 August 1985.
30 April 1993. Site visited by D. Edwards (NLA) to determine present status.
Earthworks are up to 45cm/61cm (18 inches/2 feet) high and maintained under grassland regime.
Road frontage built-up by two new dwellings, one still unsold, the area of glass houses to the south are demolished, as are the buildings adjacent to the nearby public house, and many of the agricultural buildings adjacent to High Hill Farm also, giving the appearance of preparation for redevelopment of the whole.
D. Edwards (NLA) 4 May 1993.
Slight earthwork still visible in small area of paddock remaining. Much now under housing.
H. Paterson (FAD), 18 January 1999.
