Summary

The remains of a post medieval lime kiln are said to exist buried in a pit at this location. Informants suggest that it was in operation during the 19th century.

Remains said to exist buried in pit.
Aged farm worker, of about seventy, at Wheycurd Farm says this has never worked in his lifetime but that his father remembered it working.
