Full Description
September 1985. Found in flower bed of garden of finders house. [1]. Found about 30cm down while digging out grape-hyacinth bulbs.
Gallo-Belgic E gold stater. Photo (S1).
Site visited by Liz James (report in file).
Her description suggests that the coin was found in made up ground, very probably in imported soil, possibly in a decayed clod of turf.

Only finds iron nails.

Coin adjudged NOT Treasure Trove at King's Lynn inquest 30 January 1986 and returned to finder.
