Summary

Metal detecting undertaken in the winter of 1984-5 in a field to the north of NHER 15170 recovered a Roman brooch of Colchester Derivative type.

Winter 1984-5. Metal detecting find from northeast corner of field to the north of main Roman site (NHER 15170).
Colchester derivative brooch, of rear hook type, with a groove along each end of the side-wing, adjacent to a diagonal line. Traces of solder visible inside right-hand wing.
