27 November 1985. Cambridge University Committee for Aerial Photograph's reference numbers BXH 34 and 35 examined by D. Edwards. Reported cropmarks listed above found to be of a double-ditched enclosure, the inner one of which is not concentric with the outer, and possibly represents second phase of use, plus adjacent linear features.
D. Edwards (NAU), 6 December 1985

Checked and grid reference confirmed by E. Rose (NAU), 2 September 1987.

April 2009. Norfolk NMP.
The double-ditched enclosure described above is visible on a number of aerial photographs (S1)-(S6), centred on TG 2917 0807. It is of unknown date, but may represent activity during the Late Prehistoric period, and is situated close to a large scatter of Neolithic flints (NHER 22030).

There are no visible remains of internal features within the enclosure, except for two possible pits, centred on TG 2918 0808, which measure up to 2m in diameter. It is possible, however, that these features are geological in origin.

The enclosure lies to the east of a number of linear features, and appears to be overlain by at least one of these, which runs roughly east-west from TG 2921 0804 to TG 2908 0806, where it joins a northeast-southwest ditch, which probably represents a field boundary, which may date to the Iron Age-Roman period, or later, the medieval to post medieval period.
E. Bales (NMP), 7 April 2009.
