Summary

Sporadic fieldwalking and metal-detecting between 1981 and 2019 recovered Roman, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; post-medieval shell, roof tile, floor tile and clay tobacco pipe fragments; a medieval/post-medieval brick fragment; Roman and post-medieval coins; medieval and post-medieval jettons; post-medieval token and a range of other, undated, Roman, and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undated buckle, key and nail; a Roman brooch; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval brooches, a harness pendant and lead seal matrices; a medieval/post-medieval coin weight and a post-medieval bell, candlestick handle, spoon and a lead cloth seal.

November to December 1981. Fieldwalking.
Field south of river, east of road.
Fieldwalking (Sisland Site 5300) produced Samian sherd and medieval pottery as well as much post-medieval material.

The medieval silver probable dress accessory was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2014 T656) and returned to the finder.
