Map

No mapped location recorded.

1985 or earlier. Metal-detecting.
Found at Hockwold, exact findspot not revealed:
Pewter plate, Samian ware form 18 and pumice stone found 'in association'.
Plate disintegrated when found.
The pumice stone is now held by Moyse's Hall Museum (Bury St Edmunds) and the above information is from the museum's records (see copy of record card in file). The location of the other objects is unclear.
It should be noted that the Moyse's Hall Museum has another object that is recorded as having been recovered by this finder at the "scheduled site". This is almost certainly NHER 5587 and it is therefore possible that the above objects were also recovered at or near this site.
A. Gregory (NAU) 13 February 1986. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 30 August 2016.
