Summary

This is the site of a post medieval tower mill with five sails, built in 1816-8. An extra sail had been added by 1890, but it was last used in 1910 and demolished in the 1920s. By 1979 it had been totally demolished, and the millstone stood against the modern mill on the other side of the road.
