Summary

Fieldwalking in 1986 by the Fenland Survey recovered a small number of medieval pottery sherds scattered across this area, as well as noting a concentration of sparse medieval pottery, bone, shell and post medieval material

19 March 1986. Fieldwalking on well weathered ploughsoil. North of Emorsgate.
Context 1 = genral scatter odd medieval sherds. TSC DP.
Context 2 at 5388 2070. Concentration sparse medieval pottery, locally moderate very sparse bone, shell moderate to abundant, post medieval sparse to moderate but locally abundant, more unglazed ware and shell at south end of site. 62m north to south x 34m east to west at 3m OD.
