Summary

Fieldwalking in 1986 by the Fenland Survey recovered a small number of Roman, Middle Saxon and medieval pottery sherds, as well as noting the presence of a possible undated extinct watercourse.

Full Description

6 May 1986. Fieldwalking young winter cereal (S1). Part of Jankin Field.
Odd medieval sherds. TSC EJ.
Finds in NCM.
R. J. Silvester (NAU), 15 May 1986.

Also Middle Saxon Ipswich ware along roddon (extinct watercourse) found by A. Rogerson (NAU).

Some of the material found by R. Silvester has been reidentified as Roman pottery.
