2 Palaeolithic flint flakes. Stained and slightly worn thick primary flakes - probably Palaeolithic.
19 ?Palaeolithic flint flakes. Stained. In absence of any diagnostic features or context it is impossible to be definite about a strong possibility that these are from a Palaeolithic industry.
5 Neolithic flint flakes and 1 polished flint axe fragment, part burnt.
1 medieval ?annular brooch and 1 ?copper alloy object.
Flints identified by J.J. Wymer (NAU), December 1989. Compiled by W. Milligan (NCM), 22 October 1990.
These discoveries were reported in (S2). The Palaeolithic flints are also noted on (S3).
The flints and the unidentified copper alloy object are probably amongst a collection of material from this site donated to the Norwich Castle Museum in 1999 (NWHCM : 1999.1.33.3).
Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 18 March 2014.
The finds held by the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1999.1.33.3) are listed as including a Middle Saxon Ipswich Ware pottery sherd. This appears to be an unreported find.
