Summary

Fieldwalking in 1986, 1987 and 1998 has recovered a number of pottery sherds from the Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval periods, as well as noting the presence of a possible trackway and extinct watercourse.

Context 1 general scatter over whole field. Medieval sherds. TSC EX.
Context 3 at 5377 1877. Group of medieval sherds on edge of old drove earthwork southwest corner of field. About 14m north to south x 27m east to west. TSC EW.
