January 1986. Hales Survey, Heckingham site 27.
Good conditions, slightly shot cereal.
Three contexts:
Context 1. C in (S1). Centred at 3960 9880.
Three flakes.
Two probably Roman greyware.
Six medieval unglazed.
Context 2. A in (S1). Centred at 3950 9855.
Six flakes including one stumpy notched piece. Identified by J.J. Wymer (NAU).
One Roman greyware?
One medieval unglazed and one glazed?
One glazed red earthenware.
One undated scrap.
Context 3. B in (S1). Centred at 3960 9855.
One small button scraper, two flakes with retouch, one flake. Identified by J.J. Wymer (NAU).
One Roman greyware.
One Thetford type.
