Summary

A medieval pit contained a copper alloy cauldron and medieval and post medieval pottery, was found during the excavation of pipe trenches.

Found when installing sewage pipes to house.
Large feature cut into natural boulder clay, over 1m across and 1m deep.
Contained: 3 glazed Grimston, 1 Early medieval bowl rim in Context 2.
Elsewhere in trench, including large and unabraded sherds in Context 1.
1 sherd St Neots.
1 handle with applied strip, medieval unglazed, curfew?
7 glazed Grimston.
1 base late medieval/early post medieval.
1 pipkin foot glazed red earthenware.
1 rim case copper alloy cauldron.
