Full Description
May 1986 in loft over stables at Manor Farm (formerly Church Farm), Watlington (20421).
Had been there since before time of previous owners; at least twenty years. Tray of ?excavated material:
Four sherds Roman greyware jar, 1st century; rim sherd very large jar 1st century; four sherds colour coated ware, white-yellow-pink with coloured surfaces; 3rd to 4th century Nene Valley ware. Fragments of animal and
human bone. Identified by A. Gregory and NCM Natural History Department
seen by E. M. James, 30 May 1986.

There are several sites in Tottenhill and Runcton Holme that have produced Roman pottery, within a three mile radius, and a couple with human bone, but none have recorded colour coated ware or a bone tool.
