Summary

This unusual house was originally a two cell, three bay building with no upper floor. However, the type of timber frame used seems to be late for this type of house plan. It may date to the 16th century. The upper floor and chimneystack were added in the late 17th century, There is also a 17th century timber framed barn in the farmyard.
