Original building was a single storey and attic with a first floor north fireplace and external stack, and probably dated to around 1550. Somewhere around 1600 it was heightened and extended to the south to form an agriculutral building with several storage and animal compartments on the ground floor and servantss quarters above, except for the extreme south end which formed a two storey steward's or foreman's house with a chimney.
Later converted to cottages probably in 19th century; facade of 1950.
