Rough type of scrapers, found on Great Massingham Heath.
130 found in 2 hours, patina varies from dull black to creamy white, translucent opaque and amber coloured flint, different from mining tools.
Bluish grey implement 8.8cm x 6.9cm (3 1/2" x 2 3/4")
See (S1).
R. R. Clarke (NCM)

The second reference clearly has nothing to do with the first as if it is illustrated in (S1) it must be an early 19th century find.
Did R. R. Clarke (NCM) combine the two simply as unprovenanced flints from Great Massingham heath? There are several flints in Kings Lynn Museum from the parish without any further identification.
E. Rose (NLA) 20 October 1998.
