Summary

Home Farm is a farmhouse dated to 1773, but incorporating an older house of around 1600. The current building is of red brick and flint with a roof of French pantiles. This two storey building has a part cellar and is built on a T-plan with a parapet of tumbled gables. Thre is an associated 17th century barn of red brick on a flint plinth, also roofed with French pantiles. The roof has tiebeams on arched braces and there is a waggon entrance in the west wall.

House; dated 1773 on north gable, but incorporating older house of about 1600. Red brick and flint, French pantiles. Two storeys and part cellar. T-plan. West facade with flint and brick plinth and advanced centre bay of brick-dressed flint marking gable of earlier house. Three windows on each floor plus three blind openings on first floor. Off centre door in advanced bay. Parapet tumbled gables, that to south with older gable line. Internal gable stacks. East wing two storeyed, with east internal gable stack and ridge stack. Tie and bridging beams with barred stops and joists with run-out stops. Also lower east service range.

Barn; three steads. 17th century, dated T C 67 in tie irons on both gables. Red brick on flint plinth, French pantiles. Waggon entrance west wall. Tumbled parapet gables; inserted windows on three levels in south. Small brick and flint west wing. Roof of tiebeams on arched braces from wallposts and corbels and two tiers butt purlins.
