Summary

Fieldwalking in January 1987 recovered a range of finds here which include medieval pottery pieces, tiles, shells, bone fragments and flints.

7 January 1987. Fenland fieldwalking on weathered stoney sand and young cereal cropped fields.
General spread of medieval pottery pieces and tiles, frequent fragments of chalk rubble, shell very common in places - mostly cockle with some oyster; bone and occasional burnt flint. Spread over the flat top of the ridge and down the south side. Odd medieval sherds and flint from outside main concentration also included under code PEN AE on (S1).
NCM holds some of these finds.
