Full Description
1986 surface finds while metal detecting opposite Hollands Cottages.
Concentration of finds in area about 100m square. Rest of field searched but proved negative, including the area shown on OS Prov. 6" map as a separate field to the south, but the boundary has been removed.
Fragment of lava mill stone.
24 sherds of unglazed medieval.

Medieval lead pointed oval seal matrix, S'ROBERTI FIL' WIL'I; in centre a palm-like plant. Lug on top edge (folded in half).

1993.Metal detecting.
14th century strap end, lobed terminal, made of 3 plates. Front and back decorated with zig-zag line of rocker-arm ornament.
Medieval finger ring, bezel with scalloped edge and collet inside which is white paste. This was possibly used to inlay a stone or glass pellet, or just as white paste inlay.
Roman key fragment.
