Full Description
4 February 1987. Fenland fieldwalking
West side of allotments, southwest of Brook Drain; well weathered ploughed.
Context 1. WGY BA.
General scatter medieval sherds becoming more prevalent to south. Odd bone fragment.
Context 2 at 6611 1197. WGY AZ.
Concentration medieval pottery; its position out in the fen suggests rubbish dumping and although plenty of pot elsewhere in field here it was particularly concentrated over an area of 21m north to south by 16m east to west. Also bone fragments as well though not in considerable numbers.
Finds in NCM.
