NHER 23367 (Find Spot record) - Prehistoric burnt and worked flints from field between Marham Fen and River Nar

13 February 1987. Fenland fieldwalking, ploughed and rolled and reasonably well weathered.
Context 1 general scatter. MRM AK.
Odd flints, some pot boilers present as well but no concentrations other than below.

Context 2 at 7203 1185. MRM 12.
Moderate pot boiler spread, one dubious flint. Gravelly sandy soil with much peat. Close to old course of Nar. 20m
east to west x 27m north to south at 5.2m OD.

Context 3 at 7194 1185. MRM 13.
Sparse pot boilers but no flint, on gravelly soil with peat, close to old course of Nar 26m east to west x 18m north to south at 5.2m OD.

Context 4 at 7199 1189. MRM 14.
Moderate spread of pot boilers but no flint, on gravelly soil and overlapping alluvial marl. Close to old course of Nar 34m east to west x 26m north to south at 4.6m OD.

Context 5 at 7208 1192. MRM 15.
Sparse spread pot boilers and couple flints in peat in what is probably early course of river Nar. 25m east to west x 17m north to south at 4.3m OD.
