Full Description
10 April 1987. Fieldwalking (S1). Hart's Marsh - beyond Sea Bank.
Mound discovered. About 1.2m high at 3.4-4.6m, OD 58m northwest to southeast x 55m northeast to southwest.
No finds. TSC 49.

The mound is sub-rounded to irregular in plan (S3) with a maximum diameter of 30m, appearing as a lighter coloured parch mark with a diffuse darker area around its circumference. The site lies to the north (seaward) of the Sea Bank (NHER 2187) on the eastern side of a relict saltmarsh channel, and is likely to be medieval in date. The mound appears to be suspiciously isolated, although there are light coloured, less well defined areas to the northwest.
