Summary

Fieldwalking in 1987 by the Fenland Survey recovered a general scatter of medieval pottery sherds from across this field, as well as noting a concentration of sparse medieval pottery sherds, shell and bone fragments.

17 March 1987. Fenland fieldwalking well weathered soil and winter cereal. Between Road and Great Ouse.
Context 1: general scatter medieval sherds. WSG BK (S1).
Context 2 at 5928 1439: concentration medieval pot sparse, shells sparse to moderate, one bone fragment adjacent to river bank. 25m northwest to southeast x 20m northeast to southwest at 2.4m OD. WSG 8 (S2).
