Summary

Fieldwalking in 1987 noted a scatter of prehistoric flints and medieval pottery fragments. Some years earlier, a 'burial' is reported to have been ploughed up, consisting of pottery fragments, bits of bone and a piece of rotten wood.

9 March 1987. North of Holly House. Fenland fieldwalking weathered ploughsoil.
Context 1 general scatter odd flints and medieval pottery fragments. WGY BH. Context 2 at 6534 1165 'some years before 1987' farmer reported ploughed up 'burial'; sherds, black material, bits of bone, bit of rotten wood. Spot indicated by finder but finds not seen.
