Summary

Fieldwalking in 1987 recovered medieval pottery sherds, while metal-detecting in 2015 and 2021 recovered a Neolithic/Bronze Age flint core; post-medieval pottery sherds; post-medieval coins and a number of other, Late Saxon/medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Saxon/medieval stirrup mount; medieval buckles and a four-way strap distributor; a medieval/post-medieval lead weight and a post-medieval buckle, seal-top spoon fragment and lead cloth seal.

April 1987. Fieldwalking.
South of river, northeast of Manor Farm.
Medieval unglazed sherds, one late medieval glazed sherd.

September-October 2015. Metal-detecting. Site extended to whole field. [2].
Neolithic/Bronze Age flint core.
Medieval buckles and a four-way strap distributor.
Medieval/post-medieval lead weight.
3 post-medieval coins, 2 pottery sherds, a buckle, seal-top spoon fragment and lead cloth seal.
