Summary

Fieldwalking in this area during 1987 and earlier recovered a variety of objects. Finds included Neolithic flint flakes, a medieval buckle, an undated whetsone and a post medieval decorated clay tobacco pipe stem.

Medieval sherds including green glazed Grimston; medieval gilt buckle with remains of braid, belt? or more substantial textile such as reinforced jerkin (brigantine) - 15th century?; schist hone; mayen lava fragment; lead weight; decorated clay pipe stem.
