Full Description
22 March 1987. Old Ordnance Survey field L31. Field walking. Ploughed, good conditions.
Medieval sherds, including much early medieval ware, and some Grimston.
Roman sherds, post medieval sherds, worked flint; lava.

This settlement is recorded as Medieval in (S2), and is first recorded in a late 13th century document, when it was leased at the annual rent of one clove of garlic.
