Summary

A general scatter of iron slag was noted on the surface and in roadworks in 1987. There was no evidence for its date, but the Roman iron working site to the northwest suggests a continuous area of iron working.

General scatter of slag over area 200m by 100m and concentrations - see file.
No evidence for date, but note Roman iron working site NHER 24120 to northwest and undated slag found in intervening area in churchyard (NHER 3294), suggesting possibility of continuous area of iron working.
