Summary

Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey in 1988 recovered a few pieces of prehistoric worked flint and Roman and medieval pottery. Metal-detecting in 2013 recovered a Roman coin and a brooch and a Middle/Late Saxon strap-end.

Full Description

12 February 1988. Fenland fieldwalking. Second field west of Rose Hill.
Good conditions, well weathered ploughsoil.

HLG BJ.
Few medieval sherds and occasional flint. No concentrations.

(S1) adds one Roman sherd.
