Summary

Stow Bardolph Hall was built in 1873 by David Barndon, on the site of earlier halls of 1796 and 1589, and possibly earlier. In 1994 the Hall was demolished, but the lodge of 1883 survives and has been Listed by English Heritage. The gardens and park are listed seperately under NHER 30524.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Lodge to Stow Hall, Runcton Road
Lodge. 1883. Coursed carstone tiles with gault brick dressings and slate roof. Two storeys and attic on brick plinth in gabled cruciform plan: arched door behind timber porch of two arched bays. Fenestration mostly 20th century with elaborate brick architraves."
