February 2000. Field Observation.
Second inspection indicates that this was not a hall house but always two storey, with a firehood again sthe end wall; it may have been two-cell rather than three, but was on the cross passage plan. The east end was added or rebuilt, and a brick stack inserted by removing the old wall, in the early 17th century; the original building still being of around 1500.
See further report in secondary file (S3).
E. Rose (NLA), 10 February 2000.
