Summary

Fenland fieldwalking in 1988 recovered several prehistoric flints, post medieval gunflints and sherds of medieval pottery from this field. Some of the flints were subsequently identified as of Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age date.

18 March 1988. Fenland fieldwalking. Ploughed field, rough but weathered.
Odd flints and sherds of medieval pottery scattered across field. Gunflints particularly near farm buildings.
(Other flints Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age - F. Healy (NAU).)
Also one Roman sherd and one Iron Age or more probably Early Saxon.
