Summary

Between 1988 and 2000 a number of objects were recovered on this section of the beach, including a prehistoric flint flake; a Lower Palaeolithic flint handaxe; Late Iron Age and Roman coins and a post-medieval jetton. At least two of these finds probably came from material that had fallen down from the cliffs.

2000. Stray Find.
Found on beach at [3]:
Prehistoric retouched flint flake. Oval flake of speckled, pinkish buff; flint with an usual 'corregated' surface on the ventral face. Extensive fine retouch around the perimeter, but rolled or worn and with a glossy surface. The NGR suggests a beach or dune find, which is consistent with the rolled condition.
