Summary

Fieldwalking recovered prehistoric flints, fragments of Roman flue and roof tile and pieces of Roman, medieval and post medieval pot. This site is part of a linear Roman settlement.

One Oxon red slipped rouletted necked bowl.

(S2) describes as part of a linear Roman settlement that extends across parts of four fields. Pot and building material suggests this was a prosperous rural settlement. A well-marked bank and ditch extends from north to south through part of the site.
