Copper alloy buckle in form of animal head. Cast, with flat base and hasp at rear. Iron fills hollow at rear.

September/October 1995. Metal detecting.
Lovely 12th century Romanesque animal head fastener/buckle (loop broken). Eye possibly once inlaid. Moulded features on head.
