Summary

A Bronze Age copper alloy palstave was found in Hilgay Fen before 1884. It may be the same as NHER 17493. The exact nature and location of its discovery are unclear.

There is a note on (S1) stating that it was made when the object was offered to Saffron Walden Museum in 1884, but was refused. It is probably the same axe as NHER 17493 but there are substantial differences in the drawings.
