Summary

Fieldwalking at this location between 1985 and 1987 recovered a Neolithic worked flints and Roman and medieval pottery sherds. Metal-detecting in 2023 recovered a medieval coin and several other metal objects, including a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; a medieval strap distributor and a post-medieval buckle.

Neolithic flint flake, scraper and blade.
Roman and medieval sherds.
Pottery identified by A. Gregory (NCM); flint identified by J. Wymer (NAU).

Late Iron Age/Roman Colchester brooch.
1 medieval coin and a strap distributor.
Post-medieval buckle.
