Full Description
1966. From ploughed field. Context 2 at 6980 9579.
Sherds of necked Beaker and rusticated ware, one flint scraper and burnt flints.
Examined by H. Bamford (KLM).
E.B. Green (NCM).
1959.

Information from [1].
E.B. Green (NCM).
Formerly numbered NHER 2532.
24 April 1987. Fenland fieldwalking young cereal, weathered soil.
Context 1 general scatter. MTW EM.
Odd flints, no concentrations.
Context 4 at 6978 9572. MTW EG.
Sparse scatter pot boilers on edge of field.
Only runs a few metres into field, probably from concentration beneath adjacent pasture field.
Context 5 at 6970 9584. MTW 134.
Small but moderate spread of pot boilers, no flints, east side of ridge of sandy loam with gravel. 21m northwest to southeast x 12m northeast to southwest at 1.6m OD.
Context 6 at 6970 9579. MTW 135.
Sparse, locally moderate concentration pot boilers mainly on east side small loam which is probably high point of
linear ridge, shell below peat. Maximum 17m northwest to southeast x 21m northeast to southwest at 1.8m OD.
R. Silvester (NAU), 24 April 1987.
Antler pressure-flaker and bone awls, on site which has yielded much interesting Neolithic pottery over the past six years (informant).
Information from (S1).
R.J. Rickett (NAU), 30 March 1990.
These may be the same as the 'substantial collection' of flints, and two saddle querns, and various Beaker and rusticated ware sherds seen in Wortley's collection by F. Healy (NAU) and marked Methwold Hythe. It is perhaps however more probable that these represent many sites scattered over the immediate area.
E. Rose (NLA), 29 November 1993.
