Full Description
1980. Fieldwalking on ploughed surface. Continuing scatter from site NHER 3980 to west. Context 9.
Heavy scatter Roman coarsewares mainly 3rd to 4th century; large quantities tegulae, imbrices, flue and bonding tiles. Also Samian sherd Dragendorf F18 or 18/31 with graffiti 'ht' and possible tessera; not recorded whether these latter items came from this site or NHER 3980.
