Summary

Fieldwalking and metal-detecting at this location between 1989 and 2024 recovered Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and medieval/post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman coins and a number of other, undated and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undated unidentified lead disc; medieval brooches and a buckle; a potentially medieval bell; a medieval/post-medieval gilded processional cross; post-medieval buckles and a possible post-medieval candlestick fragment.

1st/2nd century illegible coin.
?Late Saxon sherds, medieval unglazed sherds.
Lyvedon ware grooved handle sherd; 13th century (cfompare with Fordham).
Cistern bung hole sherd.
Badly corroded gilt bronze buckle with foliage decoration on frame.

?solder round one side; peat stained.
Early post medieval buckle.
?Medieval bell.
Medieval pottery including early medieval rim sherd, late medieval/Transitional rim.
And green glazed Grimston, unglazed with inclusions ?from Cambridgeshire.

Unidentified lead convex disc.
